Our Beliefs

The Holy Trinity
We believe there is one God who made everything and the scriptures clearly teach that He exists in three persons: the Father. the Son, and the Holy Spirit. These three are one in eternity, deity, and purpose; everlasting, of infinite power, wisdom, and goodness.

The Son
We believe that because God is holy our sins had to be covered or paid for to put mankind right with god. Jesus Christ came to pay for our sins by accepting the death penalty in our place, He was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, He joined together the deity of God and the humanity of humankind. Jesus of Nazareth was God in flesh, truly God and truly human. He was crucified, buried and resurrected to pay the debt for our sin.

Salvation
Since Jesus Christ died in our place, no other sacrifice for sin is necessary. A person only needs to put his or her faith in what Christ did to be saved. Salvation cannot be earned only received as a free gift.

The Bible
The Bible is written Word of God, infallible, and verified by history and archeology. It is the one thing that can change lives. It is God's gift to mankind so that we might know him personally.

The Church
The church is created by God. It is the people of God. Christ Jesus is its Lord and Head. The Holy Spirit is its life and power. It is both divine and human, heavenly and earthly, ideal and imperfect. It is an organism, not an unchanging institution. It exists to fulfill the purposes of God in Christ. We are not perfect but we are forgiven and strive to be more like Christ everyday.
